Being a startup founder or entrepreneur is tough. You often have to do many different tasks on your own until you can afford to hire a team. This means you need to be productive and make the most of every moment of your day. This can be challenging, but it is important to get a lot of work done to meet your goals

Thankfully, there’s a new AI tool called ChatGPT tool that can help you supercharge your productivity and get more done in less time.

So what is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI, an Artificial Intelligence company, that has been trained to generate human-like responses to text inputs. It is designed to assist users in conversational tasks. It can generate responses to questions, engage in discussions on a wide range of topics, and provide information on a variety of subjects.

And it may very well be the solution you’ve been looking for as it is pretty good at doing a whole lot of things! Here are 10 ways you can leverage ChatGPT to boost your productivity as an entrepreneur and drive your business forward:

1. Generate content:

ChatGPT can help you generate high-quality content for your website, social media, and marketing materials. Simply provide it with some examples of the type of content you want, and it will generate original text that is ready to use.

In the example below, I asked ChatGPT to generate copy for a flyer for Sesi Technologies GrainMate Warehouse Monitor and the output was pretty good!

2. Answer customer questions

ChatGPT can help your customer support team answer common customer questions quickly and accurately. This can save you time and improve your customer service.

3. Generate product descriptions

If you’re struggling to come up with compelling descriptions for your products, ChatGPT can help. Simply provide it with some information about your products, and it will generate engaging and informative descriptions. In the example below, I asked the model to create a product description for our new GrainMate moisture meter and see what it gave me. Just a few edits and this would be good enough for us to use.

4. Generate email responses

ChatGPT can help you generate professional and personalized responses to common emails, such as inquiries or customer complaints. This can save you time and ensure that your responses are consistent and on-brand.

Here’s an example of a professional response to a customer complaint, which you or your customer support team can actually use.

5. Generate reports and summaries

ChatGPT can help you generate reports and summaries of complex information. Simply provide it with the relevant data, and it will generate a clear and concise summary that is easy to understand.

6. Generate social media posts

ChatGPT can help you generate engaging and on-brand social media posts. Simply provide it with some examples of the type of posts you want, and it will generate original text that is ready to use.

7. Generate meeting notes

ChatGPT can help you generate accurate and comprehensive meeting notes. Simply provide it with a recording of the meeting, and it will generate a transcript that you can use to quickly review the key points.

8. Generate business plans

If you’re struggling to write a business plan, ChatGPT can help. Simply provide it with some information about your business and its goals, and it will generate a comprehensive and professional business plan.

9. Generate sales scripts

ChatGPT can help you generate effective sales scripts that can be used to pitch your products or services to potential customers. Simply provide it with some information about your products and target market, and it will generate a script that is tailored to your needs.

10. Generate ideas:

If you’re struggling to come up with new ideas for your business, ChatGPT can help. Simply provide it with some information about your business and its goals, and it will generate a list of potential ideas that you can explore further.

How to Get Started with ChatGPT

Getting started with ChatGPT is simple. Just head to the ChatGPT website,  create an account and start asking putting in your requests. Keep in mind that while ChatGPT is a great tool, it’s not perfect. It can sometimes make inaccurate, false or misleading statements but generally, the better your questions are, the better the responses you’ll get.

It helps to be as specific with your request as possible and provide enough relevant information to get the best results

Remember the old adage: Garbage In, Garbage Out.

How much does it cost to use ChatGPT

Currently, ChatGPT is in the “research preview” phase and is free to use for now. However, I do expect that sometime down the line, OpenAI is going to start charging for to use ChatGPT as it requires a lot of computing resources to keep a system like this running, which doesn’t come cheap.

Regardless, the productivity boost you and your team will experience using ChatGPT is well worth whatever the cost is. There’s more information available on their FAQ page

There are many more ways that you can leverage ChatGPT to supercharge your productivity as an entrepreneur or startup founder. Give it a try and see the excellent results for yourself!

Great piece! I Like that you highlighted the AI’s fallibility, with an application this good, it could lead humans to Overemphasize the intelligence of the machine than themselves. Always better to screen and review any piece generated by AI.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, AI is great for certain things but let’s not get overexcited and start thinking it has gotten better than humans

I am the first one here!!

    Yaayy!

You have answered the “what” very well. A sequel blog on “how to” would be ideal 🙂 a paragraph on it is a tad too brief in my opinion.
I am particularly interested in how #ChatGPT generates content.

    Well done SB!

Thanks a lot for the feedback. The how to is actually pretty simple. Head to the website, create an account and start typing away! That’s how simple it is! In terms of the inner workings on how ChatGPT generates content, here is what ChatGPT itself has to say

“ChatGPT is a large language model trained by OpenAI. It uses machine learning algorithms to generate human-like responses based on the input it receives. When a user enters a message, ChatGPT processes the text and generates a response by predicting the most likely words that would follow the input. This response is then returned to the user.

In generating its responses, ChatGPT uses a massive amount of data to learn the patterns and nuances of natural human language. This allows it to produce responses that sound more like they were written by a human, rather than a machine.

ChatGPT is constantly learning and improving, so the more it is used, the more accurate and human-like its responses will become.”
