Tools For Small Businesses

Wave is a free accounting application for small businesses, entrepreneurs and freelancers. If you own a business, then you by now that keeping records is very important. With wave, you can record all transactions, issue out invoices and quotes, view financial records such as balance sheets, income statements and even run payrolls.
HubSpot is an inbound marketing and sales platform that helps companies attract visitors, convert leads, and close customers. Hubspot provides tools that can help your company with blogging, SEO, social media, email, landing pages, marketing automation, and web analytics. At Invent Electronics, we use Hubspot to manage all of our customers and target new ones.
If your business has a website then it is important that you have a way of engaging people who visit your website. Crisp let’s you  integrate live chat with your website  so you can engage with the while they are on your site. Crisp will also tell you where your visitors are coming from and what devices they are using to access your site. Their free tier is very generous and their paid plans are not too expensive.
Slack is a powerful, versatile communication platform built purposely for teams. It is one of my favourite apps and we use it across all my businesses. With Slack, all of your team’s communication is in one place. You can organize different chats into channels, share files, do voice and video calls and more. It also integrates easily with hundreds of other third party services which help extend its already rich functionality.
Google Drive lets you store up to 15GB of files online. You can access the files from anywhere and share them with other people on your team. Google Drive also let’s people in a team work together on the same document.  From Google Drive, you can create forms, spreadsheets, documents, presentations, drawings and more.

Automate Your Email Marketing With Mailchimp

MailChimp is a very powerful email marketing service which allows you to send emails and newsletters to all of your subscribers at once across different channels. You can automate email sending and track results. MailChimp is free to use if you have less than 2000 subscribers.

Google Hangouts is my go-to service for video and voice calls and online meetings with my team. It integrates well with other Google services. With Google hangouts, you can also share your screen with the rest of your team during a video call. Any member of your team can join a video call from a unique link that you can create for the call.
Fiverr is a freelance service which let’s you outsource a wide variety of microjobs to others at a very cheap prices starting from $5. You can outsource graphic design, digital marketing, copywriting, programming jobs and more to other people and have them done for you within hours. I regularly use Fiverr when I want something done for me quickly at a cheap cost.
Trello is a collaboration tool that lets you organize projects into boards. With Trello, you can create, assign and manage tasks for your team. You can also set due dates for tasks and get notifications. It presents you with a graphical, easy-to-use kanban board which helps you to see everything going on in your team at one glance. It integrates with many popular services such as Slack and you can use it on any device.
If you use social media to promote your business, then Buffer is a must-have tool. Buffer eliminates the stress of managing multiple social media accounts by letting you connect all your accounts and manage them from one interface. With Buffer, you can schedule posts in advance for all of your social media accounts without having to post individually on each account. You can also see how people are engaging with your posts.
